Jobbs ("we," "our," or "the Platform") operates a next-generation intelligent career and recruiting network. This policy applies to all registered Job Seekers (Candidates), Employers (Recruiters), and visitors who access our website, APIs, candidate portal, recruiter applicant tracking system (ATS), and associated matching services.

By using Jobbs, you acknowledge the collection and processing practices described herein. We strictly comply with global privacy frameworks, including the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) standards and GDPR data minimization principles.

Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to facilitate seamless job applications, evaluate candidate qualification fit, and enable direct recruiter communications:

Job Seeker / Candidate Data
  • Identity & Contact: Full Name, verified Email Address, Phone Number, Location/City, and optional Profile Photo.
  • Professional Credentials: Work Experience history, Job Titles, Previous Employers, Education Degrees, Certifications, and Portfolio Projects.
  • Skills & Preferences: Primary Technical Stack, Soft Skills, Spoken Languages, Notice Period, Current & Expected CTC (Salary), Relocation Willingness.
  • Resumes & Portfolios: Uploaded PDF/DOCX resumes, GitHub profiles, LinkedIn URLs, and portfolio links.
Employer & Recruiter Data
  • Organization Details: Registered Company Name, Official Website, Corporate Logo, Industry, Office Addresses, and Employee Count.
  • Job Postings: Role Requirements, Salary Budgets, Tech Stack Specifications, Work Mode (Remote/Hybrid/On-site), Custom Screening Questions.
  • Hiring Team Contacts: HR representative names, verified work email addresses, and phone numbers.
  • Billing Details: Subscription tier, invoice history, transaction receipts (card details processed securely via external gateways).

AI Resume Parsing & Vector Matching Engine

Jobbs utilizes proprietary machine learning workflows and state-of-the-art language models (such as the Gemma 4 neural architecture and text-embedding-004 models) to deliver precision job discovery:

Transient Resume Parsing:

When you upload a resume document, our AI models perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and entity extraction to structure your work history, skills, and contact details for your profile. Raw parsing prompts are processed in isolation and are not retained in model training caches.

Mathematical Vector Embeddings:

Your skill profile and job listings are transformed into mathematical high-dimensional vectors (arrays of floating-point numbers). Our matching engine computes cosine similarities (50% Semantic Fit + 40% Exact Skill Overlap + 10% Location/Relocation score) to suggest high-relevance roles without human bias.

No Public Model Training:

We do not sell your personal data or use your proprietary resume text to train public generative AI foundational models. All vectors are private to the Jobbs infrastructure and securely isolated.

How We Share Your Information

We share your data strictly within the necessary bounds of employment facilitation:

  • Prospective Employers: When you apply for a job or toggle your profile visible in our talent pool, the recruiting company receives your application answers, resume link, contact details, and AI skill-match breakdown.
  • Direct In-Platform Messaging: Chat communications between candidates and verified recruiters are private and accessible only to the participating parties and administrative moderation for trust and safety.
  • Payment Processors: Transactions are handled directly by PCI-DSS compliant providers (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay). We never store raw credit card numbers or CVVs on our servers.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose records if strictly required by applicable court orders, government authorities, or to protect the safety of users against fraud.

Your Rights & 1-Click Permanent Deletion

You have full autonomy over your data on Jobbs:

Right to Rectify

Edit any profile field, uploaded resume, or career record in real-time from your dashboard.

Right to Visibility Control

Withdraw active job applications anytime or toggle your profile discovery on/off.

Right to Erasure

Permanently delete your account and all associated embeddings with immediate effect.

Data Security & Encryption

We implement bank-grade administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to ensure data integrity:

  • End-to-end HTTPS / TLS 1.3 encryption for all network transmissions.
  • Bcrypt cryptographic salt hashing for all user authentication credentials.
  • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) preventing unauthorized access between candidate and employer datasets.
  • Automated database backups with zero unencrypted plaintext exports.

Cookies & Browser Storage

Jobbs uses essential browser local storage items (user_token, theme) to persist your secure session and aesthetic preferences (Dark/Light mode). We do not use third-party cross-site advertising trackers or sell browsing data to data brokers.
